Art 1 & Art 2: Portfolio Sketch

For students who haven't been here for the portfolio lesson, here's the directions for your sketch:

In your sketchbook, create a planning sketch for your portfolio. Your sketch should include:

-  Your REAL first name using one of the lettering styles in the lettering packet (Use a ruler). Use a baseline/cap height/meanline for your letters (draw those first).
-  Your three pictures drawn from observation (Interest, culture and future).
-  Draw large! Fill the space (Balance your page).
-  Use details. Color your design using colored pencil.
-  Use good craftsmanship!

 Also, here's the vocabulary you need to add to your notebook:

 Portfolio - A collection of documents and artworks representative of a person’s completed works and/or works in progress.

 Symbol – an image that represents an idea or concept.

 Baseline – The line upon which a line of text rests.
